Billboart Gallery opens an exhibition of multidisciplinary artist and designer from the Glass Studio, Jan Čihák. The exhibition is curated by Aneta Kapráľová, a student of Curatorial Studies.

Billboart Gallery is located in the public space next to the Faculty of Art and Design building and focuses on the presentation of contemporary visual art. The opening will start at the upper billboard in Resslova Street, Ústí nad Labem, Czech Republic.

The exhibition “GLASSLAY” opens a glimpse into Čihák’s inspiring world and artistic practice that deserves the attention of art and design lovers.

Jan Čihák's work with glass focuses on fused sculptures creating unique and eye-catching artefacts. He is currently focusing on the processing of waste glass, which not only demonstrates his artistic creativity, but also his responsibility towards the environment. His work becomes a bridge between the tradition of glass art and modern design, thus enriching the cultural environment of our university and the wider public.
